ABOUT AMK

AMK operate a fleet of modern vehicles ranging from 6-72 seats, including a large number of purpose-built wheelchair accessible mini-buses. AMK strive to provide high quality services to local authorities, corporate clients and individuals.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit drivers to join our existing team to maintain, promote and enhance the Company’s image as leaders in the field of quality passenger transport.

ABOUT THE ROLE

AMK operates daily contract school journeys for local state and public schools throughout Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of passengers from home to school. Corporate or private work may also be allocated to drivers on an ad-hoc basis and in addition to the home to school contract.

HOURS

Mornings and afternoons – school term times only.

Roughly 20-30 hours per week for a school route, 38 weeks a year but hours vary according to the contract allocated to you. 

In order to be considered for the role, candidates must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 6points.

The following are beneficial but not essential as we can help to obtain these:

• A current clean DBS, preferably on the update service
• A Surrey, Hampshire or West Sussex clearance

RATES OF PAY

Non PCV contract drivers are paid at a rate of £11.85 with £10.57 as basic and the £1.28 as holiday pay rolled in.

PCV drivers are paid at a rate of £12.41 with £11.07 as basic and the £1.34 as holiday pay rolled in.  

The holiday pay is payable every 4 months following a school holiday period.
